Insert Games are a bit different than full stand-alone games. They are often inserted into songs to help produce or guide solos, to add as a new section to a song, or as a transition.
One example of an insert game we already have in the library is odolany's Two-Headed Soloist. It's to be used during a solo and the main mechanic is utilized by two soloists. In a way, I can insert this game into any song that has an improvised section with two soloists available.
I love these cute little games! I plan to contribute many of them to the library and tag them "insert."
Many of them can be played as stand-alone games. They just have the power to join and be inserted into other pieces of music as well.
They can be as simple as one mechanic or as complex as a whole playground of rules.
They are also found in a lot of music throughout history, especially music that uses improvisation. Some improvisers know hundreds of them often referring to them as necessary tools-of-the-trade.
What do you think about them?
What are some game properties "insert games" possess?
Do you use them?
Have you spotted them out in the wild?
Please share any you have to the library and don't forget to add the label "insert."

Summary:
I'd like to introduce a type of game I refer to as "Insert Games." I'll continue to expand on my thoughts about them here, so please feel free to join me.
