Michael Edward Parsons, a British experimental composer, founded Scratch Orchestra together with Cornelius Cardew and Howard Skempton and participated in the ensembles' activities.

Parsons' influences include Anton Webern, John Cage, Morton Feldman, Christian Wolff and others. Being a prolific writer on the topic of experimental music, Parson might be found in bibliographies on many wikis' articles.
